From a young age I have appreciated good food and drink, however after years of numerous health problems I was diagnosed a coeliac which made my greatest passions, cooking and baking, a little harder. After years of experimentation and many disasters, I have found and developed some great recipes which I would love to share with you, whether for yourself or for gluten-free friends and family, to prove it is ever so simple and not as trying as most people make out to have great gluten-free food.
I come from a family with a wide range of eating habits and you will see this in my recipes. I was brought up mainly vegetarian, with my mum being a pescetarian, however at 17 when I met my fiancé (college sweethearts) I discovered the world of meat and have never looked back. But I have to say that sometimes nothing satisfies me better than a salad piled full of vegetables of all varieties and colours. I have a vegetarian brother who lives in Sweden (activebeans) and a vegan sister currently studying in Florida (keepgreeneatclean), so you will see a wide variety of cooking always gluten free but also some vegetarian and vegan recipes will creep in.
In time, I will be adding fitness pieces and as I travel around visiting friends and family, I will be sharing my gluten-free finds from around the UK and the world.
The aim of my blog is to share tips and recipes to get the best out of a gluten-free lifestyle.
